I have just bought a 1997 rover 416 sli and need to change the headlight bulbs but cant get the headlamps out

i have a 1997 rover 416 sli. i need to change the headlight bulbs ,but there is not enough room to get your hands in to take them out. i tryed to take the headlamps out by taking the two bolts on the top out, but there is something holding it in place. the indicator is all inclosed, so i cant get to it. how do they come out.

hi dont know if it applies to your vehicle but on some their is a panel in the wheel inner cover above the tyre which sometimes allows access to the rear of the headlights

You'll be sorry! I hope your hobby is car maintenance
Try the HAYNES manual.

There must be 2 or more clips somewhere around the inside of the headlamp, so try that.

or if you have RAC or AA cover call them up
there should be a clip on the inside of the engine bay at the back of the light housing, under the bonnet of course. its just a thin metal clip, pull it out of its holders and the whole of the rear of the light panel should just come out.
