I want to get like white or blue ones. Is all I have to do is buy the right size and wattage bulbs?? If so does anyone have any ones they recommend?? and what website I can buy them on?? Thanks
How to change 09 Scion tC headlight bulbs?
look in the headlight section of you manual, it will tell you the type of bulb you need, i think its a 9005. then you just need to buy a bulb with that same number, different types have different mounts.
changing them is simple, get under your hood and find the wire that leads to your low beam. twist the bulb about 45 degrees counter clockwise and it will pop out. DO NOT touch the bulb, oils on your fingers can damage it. save your stock bulbs as spares in case you blow one.
HIDs are a great way to go. they will set you back about $150-200 for a kit, but they will at least double the brightness of your lights. the lower the temp the more yellow the color. white is around 6000k. the higher you go, it will get bluer and eventually purpleish.
HIDs require a little more effort to mount because you have to mount the ballast, but its well worth it. most online performance stores will carry HIDs, just makes sure you get the right type of bulb.
some local shops might carry them too, like audio or specialty shops. places like autozone probably wont carry them.
